PRINT TITLE: Purple Poof

DESCRIPTION: This image is of an old purple velvet piece of furniture that we always referred to as a poof. In combination, its tufting and color remind me of candy or donuts. The poof is framed by the front of a beautiful old beaded dress that came from a collection of dresses owned by a cabaret singer who is now in her 90s and living in New Hampshire. I have often worked with her dresses.

The funny looking purple and green beans are something that I picked off a tree in the woods, and I do not know what they are. But it was funny to see a whole tree hanging with these things. They are set against a piece of paper that I hand-marbled.
