This collection represents several items from an interest that I developed around objects from the Civil War. Things like the dominos speak about the ways in which soldiers entertained themselves in what was largely a war about waiting. The bullet and black powder flask address the combat side of things, though entire chess sets were carved from used bullets that missed their mark during the interminable down times.
